o n l i n e j o b po sting resu m e da ta ba se ma tchi ng fea t u re d j o bs media guide 2009 dfwj bnetwork.com Your Employment Matchmaker O n l i n e Jo b Po s t i n g What is Online Job Posting? Advertisers can post jobs directly on the newspaper's job site through an online interface. How does Online Job Posting work? A variety of job posting options and upgrades such as Featured Jobs are available to advertisers. The online job posting system allows employers to pay online with a credit card or to order and pre-pay through the newspaper's sales department. How is Online Job Posting priced? Pricing varies depending on the number of ads posted, their duration and any upgrades purchased. One ad for 30 days, no limit on the number of words, for only $99. Contract advertisers contact your account executive for special rates. P r i o r i t y Jo b s What are Priority Jobs? Priority Jobs receive highlighted placement - at the top of the page - when candidates search for jobs. As a result, Priority Jobs typically receive 50% more clicks than regular job ads, which means more candidates and applications for employers. How do Priority Jobs work? Priority Jobs appear highlighted with a distinct background at the top of a search results page when they match the search terms used by a job seeker. For example, if a job seeker searched for "sales" jobs, all Priority Jobs relating to sales would be prominently displayed, as in the screen shot below. How are Priority Jobs priced? Advertisers pay an additional fee to receive Priority status for their ads. The Priority fee varies based on ad duration, for as little as $35 for 30 days. Jo b C l i p What is a Job Clip? A Job Clip is a 30-second video commercial promoting an employer's posted job opportunity. Expert producers will develop these video commercials for interested employers. How do Job Clips work? Job ads that include a video upgrade are highlighted with a video icon next to the ad in the job search results page. Candidates click the icon to view an advertiser's Job Clip. The newspaper job site home page may also feature a video section that organizes Job Clips into specific categories that can be browsed by candidates (see below). Within 48 hours of purchasing, a Job Clip featuring professional-quality photos, video clips and narration based on information provided in the ad text (will be posted online). Job Clips will be displayed for as long as the associated job ad is posted online and can be re-run for a discounted price. dfwj bnetwork.com Your Employment Matchmaker Resume Database Matching What is Resume Database Matching? In addition to posting jobs in print and online, advertisers can access a database of matched candidate resumes to boost their recruiting effort. Resume Database Matching offers employers unique value: The Job Matching system identifies all candidates in the database that are good matches for the job, but haven't yet applied. Advertisers can review these matched candidates and invite them to apply for posted jobs. How does Resume Database Matching work? New job postings are automatically matched with The Job Network candidate database based on the qualifications described in the job ad, as well as candidates' skills and preferences. Advertisers receive an e-mail reporting the number of matched candidates that are displayed in their Online Employer Dashboard. All matched candidates are graded and ranked. Advertisers can preview matched candidates' profiles online without charge; if the profiles appear promising, advertisers can choose to open the candidates' resumes and access their contact information. How is Resume Database Matching priced? A fee is charged to open each potential applicant's resume. Note that if a candidate has already applied for an advertiser's job, there is no charge to open the candidate's resume. Fe a t u re d E m p l oye r What is a Featured Employer? Featured Employers are prominently promoted throughout the newspaper's job site to maximize the number of times candidates view, click and apply for employers' advertised jobs. Featured Employers typically receive 35% more candidate activity than regular job posters, and their company's brand gets a boost from the additional exposure. How does Featured Employer work? Featured Employers are highlighted with a star icon next to their company name in the job search results page. When the company name is clicked, the candidate is presented with a company logo, company description, web site address and a link to all of the employer's jobs currently advertised on the site. Featured Employers are also promoted on the home page of the newspaper job site in a special banner ad. A click on the banner brings the candidate to a web page where all featured employers are displayed and the candidate can view each company's description and its advertised jobs. Fe a t u re d Jo b s What are Featured Jobs? Featured Jobs receive highlighted placement when candidates search for jobs. Featured placement means more views, more clicks and ultimately more applications - up to 300% more candidate activity, according to the experience of some advertisers. How do Featured Jobs work? Featured Jobs are highlighted in a special box on the right side of search results pages. The particular jobs featured change randomly each time a search page is refreshed. When candidates click on a Featured Job, a pop-up window displays the job ad. How are Featured Jobs priced? Employers pay an extra fee for Featured Job postings. The fee varies based on ad duration, for as little as $35 for 30 days. dfwj bnetwork.com Your Employment Matchmaker C o r p o r a t e Jo b S i t e S c r a p i n g What is Corporate Job Site Scraping? Some employers maintain their own job sites on which they list open positions. These employers may want to advertise their jobs on the newspaper's site and The Job Network as well with minimum additional effort. The Job Network technology simplifies this process by enabling employers to have their jobs posted on the newspaper site and throughout The Job Network by automatically "scraping" copying them from the employer's web site. After the job is scraped from a corporate web site site, it undergoes a "tuning" process which makes the ad searchable and matchable to candidate profiles on the newspaper site and throughout The Job Network. The text of the job ad - in whole or in part - can be sent to print as well. How does Corporate Job Site Scraping work? After a short setup process,The Job Network will automatically and periodically scan the employer's job web site for job postings. Jobs that have been newly posted by the employer are copied, tuned and published on your newspaper's job site. Jobs that have expired (i.e. that no longer appear on the employer's web site) are detected and removed from the newspaper's job site. The frequency of this integration process can vary depending on the employer's requirements. How is Corporate Job Site Scraping priced? Employers pay a $500 one-time set-up fee for Corporate Job Site Scraping and a $35 fee per job copied (with a monthly minimum fee of $175). O n l i n e E m p l oy m e n t D a s h b o a rd The Online Employer Dashboard is a password-protected web site that helps advertisers manage their job postings and candidate applications. What is the Online Employer Dashboard? How does the Online Employer Dashboard work? All jobs posted by advertisers are consolidated in their Online Employer Dashboard, where they can also review, track, and manage candidate job applications. First-time job advertisers will receive an e-mail describing the employer dashboard, and providing log-in information. Advertisers will be invited to log-in to review their job postings, and to add optional screening or qualifying questions that can be presented to online applicants. The Online Employer Dashboard presents employers with a list of screened, graded and ranked candidates who have applied for their advertised jobs. Employers can use their dashboard tools to communicate with candidates, forward applications to appropriate staff for review and track the entire hiring process. How is the Online Employer Dashboard priced? The Online Employer Dashboard is free to all job advertisers. Related premium services such as Resume Database Matching may involve additional charges.
