Denise Roberts has been selected to serve on the board of directors of the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Denton County.

Penny Benz joins Keller Independent School District as the assistant superintendent of human resources. Energy Transfer Partners L.P., a publicly traded partnership owning and operating a diversified portfolio of energy assets, named Marshall S. “Mackie” McCrea III as president of midstream operations and R.C. Mills as president of propane operations.

Becky Null, deputy city secretary with the city of Euless, completed her required professional education for recertification as a Registered Texas Municipal Clerk.

 

Health care

Prateek Chaudhary, a student at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, will be honored in March with a 2005 American Medical Association Foundation Leadership Award. The award is presented annually to medical students, residents/fellows, young physicians and international medical graduate physicians who show strong leadership skills in advocacy, community service and education.

Nursefinders Inc. hired Kathleen Gilmartin to fill the newly created position of COO patient care services. She will be responsible for all patient care operations nationwide and will assist with business development of local, regional and national accounts.

Robert S. Shapard has been named Tenet Healthcare CorporationÂ’s chief financial officer.

Office Depot selected Dallas business executive, Wendy Lopez, for the 2005 Office Depot “Businesswoman of the Year” award.

Wendy Shabay has been named Young Professional of the Year by the Fort Worth Chapter of The American Institute of Architects.

For its excellent customer service, Crescent Real Estate Equities Company has been awarded the National Commercial Real Estate Customer Service Award for Excellence. The awards recognize companies who are committed to providing the highest level and quality of service to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction. For four years running, customers of Crescent properties ranked the companyÂ’s customer service and management in the highest percentile of the commercial real estate industry in the United States.

The members of the Keller High School Academic Decathlon team won first place in the state competition in Corpus Christi. Keller took home 22 team medals and 28 individual event medals from the large school division and placed third overall in the Super Quiz event.

Pier 1 Imports, RadioShack Corp., the Southlake Carroll High School football team and WillieÂ’s Picnic have been named winners of The Advertising Club of Fort WorthÂ’s 2004 Dateline Award. The Dateline Award is presented in recognition of positive publicity generated for Fort Worth and Tarrant County.
