Health Care

Pennington joins JPS

His new job: James Pennington has joined JPS Health Network as chief information officer. In this role, he will be responsible for developing and implementing information technology strategies that support JPSÂ’ strategic mission and objectives.

His old job: Previously, Pennington served as assistant vice president/chief information officer at Blue Ridge Healthcare in Morganton, N.C., a community health system consisting of two hospitals, three long-term care centers and multiple physician-owned offices. He was responsible for the overall vision, strategic direction and ongoing enterprise-wide coordination of information technology. Prior to that, he served in a similar role at Arkansas Heart Hospital.

His education: He holds a bachelorÂ’s degree in computer science from the University of Arkansas. He is a member of the College of Health Care Information Management Executives and Health Care Information and Management Systems Society.

Texas Capital Bank has promoted three employees: Randy Rapp is executive vice president, Amy Petrilla is senior vice president of corporate lending and Linnie Hayes is vice president of treasury management for the Fort Worth bank.

Joseph T. Barrow, with Halff Associates Fort Worth office, has been named a diplomate water resources engineer of the American Academy of Water Resources Engineers, a subsidiary of the American Society of Civil Engineers. 

Kristen Alderson, general manager of the Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel & Spa, has been appointed to a three-year term on the Fort Worth Convention & Visitors Bureau Board of Directors.

Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Janice Harris Lord of Arlington to the Texas Board of Criminal Justice. She is a social worker and national consultant on crime victim issues.

SHW Group has added several new employees to its Texas Higher Education studio: Eric Miller as an intern architect, Deborah Ebersole as a project manager, Jeremy Theodore as senior project architect and Troy Contreras a project designer.

Jaime James has joined Harris Methodist H-E-B Hospital as the vice president of finance.

Andrea Hunter has joined Texas Wesleyan University School of Law as its public service leadership fellow, a position created earlier this year through funding from various sources, including a grant from the Texas Bar Foundation.

Lee A. McConnell has been named president of the Thomas M., Helen McKee & John P. Ryan Foundation. Previously, he served as chief financial officer. John P. Ryan Jr., who has served as president and chairman of the Board of Directors, will maintain his position as chairman of the Board of Directors.

Tim Doke has joined Susan G. Komen for the Cure as chief marketing officer.
