Neonatal unit fundraiser
Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit staged its annual “Breakfast with St. NICUas” fundraiser on Dec. 13 at the Fort Worth Club.
Chesleigh and Blake Lloyd, a patient family whose premature son spent weeks in the NICU and is not approaching his first birthday, served as hosts. The event, which raised $32,000, is a benefit celebration for the department.
Donations for patrol
The auxiliary board at Harris Methodist Southwest Hospital donated almost $27,000 to the hospitalÂ’s security department to purchase a new patrol car.
The funds were raised through various events during the year, and volunteers also generated revenues through the hospitalÂ’s gift shop and its baby-photo service.
“The support of these wonderful, hard-working volunteers is greatly appreciated,” said John Jones, supervisor of security. “Our department needed this vehicle badly.”
