One of the hippest jazz combos in the area is returning to Tarleton State University to perform for one night only.
The Bertha Coolidge Jazz Group consists of Aden Bubeck on electric and acoustic basses, Rich Stitzel on drums, Paul Metzger on guitar and Joe Carter on vibes and organ. The concert is sponsored by ULTRA Club. Admission is free. For more information, visit www.tarleton.edu

Irish yarn-spinner Conor McPherson, best known for the haunting The Weir, gets the Stage West spin in another play, The Seafarer, that runs Jan. 29-Feb. 22.
The story centers on a Christmas Eve poker game that unexpectedly takes on the highest of stakes.
