The Chesapeake Energy Parade of Lights rings in the holiday season Friday, Nov. 27 in downtown Fort Worth with a glittering procession that will set the city’s heart aglow.

The 27th annual parade celebrates “Holiday Dreams, Holiday Wishes!” with illuminated floats, marching bands and strolling groups that draw an estimated crowd of 100,000 to downtown Fort Worth annually. Family fun starts at 2 p.m., and the parade begins at 6 p.m.

Schools, community organizations and nonprofits as well as the city’s corporate citizens build floats for the parade, which rolls from the corner of Belknap and Throckmorton streets. Stay for lighting of the Sundance Square Christmas Tree, where Santa will appear to hear the dreams and wishes of all ages.

General admission is free, or purchase reserved seating for $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and kids 12 and under. Family Fun Packs of four seats are $28. Go to www.fortworthparadeoflights.org for details.
